Ob Hospitalist Group adds emergency obstetrics
BRADENTON -- Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG) has opened a new, 24-hour Obstetric Emergency Department at Manatee Memorial Hospital as a partnership between Manatee Memorial Hospital and OBHG.
The new department ensures that board certified OB/GYN doctors are on-site at Manatee Memorial 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
While many obstetricians divide their time between their office and the hospital, this program features hospital-based doctors focused solely on providing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, as well as those facing emergency situations. These physicians will provide a critical safety net to OB/GYNs in the community.
Manatee Memorial Hospital's fully equipped emergency obstetrics department means that patients will be treated by emergent-care experienced OB/GYNs. Susie Wilson will serve as the medical director of operations.
