TAMPA -- A Delta Airlines plane landed safely Tuesday morning at Tampa International Airport after experiencing landing gear issues.
According to officials, the plane took off from TIA and was headed to Detroit but the pilots felt vibrations and had an indicator light saying the landing gear had not retracted.
The pilots did multiple flyovers to see if air traffic controllers could spot the problem before they decided to land.
Several emergency vehicles lined the runway as a precaution as the plane landed without incident. The 154 passengers were put on another plane to Detroit
Airline officials are investigating.
