UNIVERSITY PARK -- Gift store and engraving specialists Things Remembered is the latest store to etch its name on the list of tenants coming to the Mall at University Town Center.
Things Remembered applied Tuesday for building permit to construct a 1,200-square-foot store at the mall.
The store is known for its wide array of gifts and for engraving just about anything you bring them, even if it wasn't purchased at a store. The company started in 1966 as an engraving shop called Can Do and is now headquartered in Highland Heights, Ohio. It has more than 600 mall locations in the U.S. Things Remembered also has a location at the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall.
The 880,000-square-foot, two-level mall is expected to open Oct. 16 on the corner of University Parkway and Cattlemen Road, bringing stores such as Apple, Macy's, Dillard's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Brooks Brothers, Lululemon, Cheesecake Factory and more.
Never miss a local story.
When open, the Taubman Centers-operated mall will only be the third shopping mall to open in the U.S. since 2006.
