The program allows the customer to visualize the final product before construction begins. The program also allows them to add landscaping and water features.
Anna Maria beach housesold for nearly $2 million
ANNA MARIA ISLAND -- A psychologist known for his books about relationships and his television and magazine appearances has sold his Anna Maria home of four years for $1.95 million.
John Van Epp and his wife, Shirley, sold their three-bedroom, two-bath home at 230 Willow Ave. on March 31 to Caroline Sindall of Berkhomsted, U.K., according to Manatee County records.
Van Epp, a psychologist, is the author of "How to Avoid Falling in Love with a Jerk" and operates a web-based business called "Love Thinks." His products and programs cater to people in pre-marital and marital relationships. According to his website, Van Epp has appeared on the CBS "Early Show," "The O'Reilly Factor" and "Focus on the Family." His book and relationship courses have been featured in Time, O Magazine and Cosmopolitan.
Built in 1960, the two-story home is located on the Sely Canal, an inland canal with access to the east side of Anna Maria Island. The Van Epps purchased the home in 2010 for $460,000.
Bradenton acupuncturist to lobby state legislators
BRADENTON -- Ellen Teeter, president of the Florida State Oriental Medical Association, will go to Tallahassee this month to educate legislators on the eastern medicine.
Her visit is part of an annual event to educate lawmakers and their staff about the training, scope of practice and cost saving benefits of licensed acupuncturists for health care. Acupuncturists from around Florida will visit legislators' offices, set up a booth at the capital, and offer public acupressure treatments designed to relive stress symptoms and pain.
Teeter has more than 14 years experience and specializes in relieving pain and symptoms of stress like poor sleep, digestive issues and anxiety.
