SARASOTA - Voalté, a company that provides communication technology and software for healthcare institutions, announced today an agreement with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to provide point-of-care communication solution, consolidating voice, alarm and text on an iPhone platform. Cedars-Sinai chose to standardize using Voalté’s system after a one-year research and testing phase, the company said. Voalté was compared to all existing and future planned smartphone communication solutions and was selected as the mobile point-of-care communication of choice. With Voalté’s system, nurses and clinicians can send and receive presence-based text messages, make high definition voice calls across the hospital VoIP system, and receive critical care alarms on the iPhone, providing faster response to patient needs.
Cedars-Sinai partnered with Voalté to test the system and provide critical clinical feedback. This input was instrumental in developing approximately 30 additional features, enhancing Voalté’s existing technology, including workflow, delivery and support technology.
