MANATEE -- The Manatee County Property Appraiser on Friday submitted documents to the state noting this year’s taxable value of real property, including tangible and centrally assessed property, totaling $23,756,729,326.
Values dropped 4 percent, or $996.4 million, from last year’s total of $24,753,181,561.
The information was sent to the Florida Department of Revenue for analysis and approval, said Greg Pennington, director of administrative services for the Manatee County Property Appraiser, late Friday.
“In coming weeks, we will continue to correct any discrepancies and verify the overall accuracy of these valuations before the final submission is due for Truth in Millage (TRIM) notices, which will be mailed in August,” the appraiser’s website said.
