In recognition of Veterans Day, Bradenton-based Bealls Department Stores will donate $1 for every Reel Legends product sold Friday and Saturday in-store or online (BeallsFlorida.com) to support veterans’ programs of Southeastern Guide Dogs.
Based in Palmetto, Southeastern Guide Dogs assists active-duty soldiers and retired servicemen and women with guide dogs, service dogs, facility-therapy dogs, emotional-support dogs and Gold Star Family dogs that help restore independence, mobility, freedom and dignity.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with Southeastern Guide Dogs during our Veterans Day promotion. It’s vital to ensure that veterans understand how much their services and sacrifices are appreciated, and when we can partner with local groups who share that sentiment, it’s a win for all involved,” said Matt Beall, senior vice president and chief merchandising officer for Bealls.
“Southeastern Guide Dogs receives no government funding and relies upon the generosity of the community for its programs,” said Titus Herman, the chief executive officer of Southeastern Guide Dogs. “When organizations like Bealls Department Stores, their employees and customers, step up and support our veterans and their families, we are able to provide life-saving dogs for those who cannot see and for those who have seen too much. We thank our friends at Bealls for enabling us to make such a great impact this Veterans Day.”
