MANATEE - The Manatee County Sheriff's Office SWAT unit this evening was on the scene of s standoff in southern Manatee County.
Details of what exactly was happening were not available, but officials had set up a command post in the parking lot of Sarabay Baptist Church, 415 67th Ave. W.
Earlier, officials, including Sheriff Brad Steube, said the case involved a domestic situation at a nearby residence.
The incident started about 5 p.m.
