Sarasota County to issue swine flu vaccine at elementary schools

SARASOTA — The Sarasota County Health Department is ready to issue H1N1 flu vaccines to elementary-age children at public schools.

Starting Nov. 6, the health department will open clinics at several Sarasota County elementary schools to issue both the nasal mist and injectable swine flu vaccines to children.

From 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 6 and Nov. 13, the swine flu vaccine will be issued at Emma Booker Elementary, Tuttle Elementary, Ashton Elementary, Garden Elementary, Laurel Nokomis School and Cranberry Elementary School.

From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, clinics for will be set up at Cranberry Elementary, Laurel Nokomis, Children’s Health Center and Sarasota County Health and Human Services.
