BRADENTON -- There will be "rolling" lane closures this weekend on Sixth Avenue West in downtown Bradenton as crews install permanent striping on the roadway, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
From midnight Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, and from 7 p.m. Saturday to 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, the crews will install striping from 15th Street West to west of 10th Street West. One lane of traffic remain open at all times, according to a news release, but motorists should expect delays.
Weather permitting, the work should be completed in two nights, according to the state.
Improvements being made to the roadway include removing old asphalt, resurfacing, adding curb and gutters, signalization, sidewalk construction, and signing and pavement markings.
