Gov. Rick Scott today embarks on the second foreign trade mission of his first six months in office. He'll arrive in Montreal this afternoon and spend the day in meetings with Quebec Premier Jean Charest, U.S. Consul General-Montreal Lee McClenny and the Power Corp. of Canada. There is also a "Gov. Scott Welcome Reception" at the offices of international law firm Fasken Martineau.
Scott will also visit Toronto on the five-day, two-city tour. He'll be joined by Enterprise Florida Director Gray Swoope and a delegation from the state's business community. Scott's office declined a request for any Florida media to join the entourage.
Scott visited Panama in March and will head to Brazil in October.
