BRADENTON — Jose Santibanez, 18, was arrested May 19 for a burglary in the 1200 block of Second Avenue East after Bradenton police officers patrolling the area observed him leaving the driveway of a home in the area, a report said.
Santibanez fled on foot but was later apprehended in the area, a report stated. After being read his rights, he confessed to several other burglaries in the area of Second Avenue East, according to a Bradenton police report.
Santibanez told officers which houses he burglarized, the release said. Several of the stolen items were returned to their owners.
He has been charged with four counts of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, two counts of dealing in stolen property and one count of possession of burglary tools with intent to use. He is being held at Manatee County jail on a $32,750 bond.
