MANATEE — A 34-year-old man was bitten by a sheriff’s office dog after he fled from a traffic stop for a bicycle violation, according to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies set up a perimeter and found Vincent Edward Stoudemire just after midnight in a back yard in the 6000 block of 11th Street East. He had bite wounds to his upper left arm and was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Stoudemire was under house arrest and was in violation. He violated his probation for prior battery and robbery charges. He now faces new charges of resisting and giving a false name to law enforcement.
As of Tuesday morning, he remained in jail without bond.
