Bradenton — The 21-year-old passenger of a car that was pulled over for running a stop sign was arrested Thursday for drug possession, the Bradenton Police Department reports.
Police spotted a syringe, 30mg tablet of Oxycodone and a spoon with blue residue when they asked Ian Cummings and the driver to exit the car due to a strong smell of marijuana that was coming from inside, a report said.
After being read his rights, Cummings admitted that the objects found in the car belonged to him, according to the report. He told police he got the pills from the City Walk apartment complex and paid $11 a pill for seven pills.
Cummings also told police that he melted one of the pills down and shot it up using the syringe and spoon that were found in the car, the report said.
Two marijuana pipes were also found inside the vehicle.
Cummings was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment. He is currently in Manatee County jail on a $1,240 bond.
