Professional golfer Paul Azinger continues to recover from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash last week, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at 7:19 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, at the intersection of First Avenue West and 75th Street West.
A 27-year-old Bradenton woman driving a 2002 Toyota was stopped at the First Avenue West stop sign facing west when she attempted to make a left turn onto at 75th Street West, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver, Jennifer Coffin, pulled in front of Azinger, who was traveling north on 75th Street West on a 2010 BMW motorcycle.

“He laid the bike down in an attempt to avoid a collision and hit the car,” said FHP Lt. Chris Miller.
Azinger, 50, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was seriously injured and transported to Blake Medical Center.
Coffin was issued a citation for violation of right of way, Miller said.
