BRADENTON — A 49-year-old man was stabbed in the chest while sitting outside a residence in the 2400 block of 11th Street West on Wednesday night, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
The man was drinking with an acquaintance when the two began arguing at about 6:15 p.m.
The fight turned physical when the suspect picked up a steak knife and stabbed the man in the upper right chest after a brief struggle.
The man, who was treated by paramedics at the scene, refused to be taken to the hospital. He filled out paper work on scene clad in blood stained clothes as detectives arrived.

The man told officers he knew the attacker, but did not know his name. The man ran west after the stabbing.
The suspect was described as standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds. He has a shaved head and was last seen wearing checkered shorts and a light-colored shirt.
