MANATEE - Manatee County officials today announced that starting Oct. 4, the Manatee County Central Library in downtown Bradenton will no longer be open on Sundays.
The elimination of Sunday hours will save the county an estimated $40,347 annually.
No other changes to the Central Library’s operating hours are planned. The library will continue to be open Monday through Saturday.
Additionally, no changes are planned for any of the library system’s five branch locations, each of which will remain open Tuesday through Saturday.
