MANATEE - A 38-year-old man faces charges of providing alcohol and drugs to three teenage girls, and then sexually assaulting them, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said there may be additional victims.
Detectives in early June received information that Derrick (Rick) Faircloth was providing underage girls with alcohol and Xanax, and having sex with them. Subsequent investigation lead detectives to three girls, ages 14, 16 and 17, according to the sheriff's office.
Detectives learned that Faircloth "has a history of having high school aged girls at his residence for parties and providing alcohol to them. Faircloth would get to know the girls through his son, who is 20 years old," a news release states.
Faircloth would tell the girls that he was 25 years old, and would make sexual advances towards them after giving the girls alcohol. He would also show the girls pornographic movies and photos, according to the sheriff's office, the sheriff's office said.
Faircloth, of the 7100 block of 84th Street Court East, faces charges of sexual battery, two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, two counts of introduction of obscene material to a minor and three counts of delivering a controlled substance to a minor.
The investigation is continuing, and there may be additional victims. Anyone with information about this case can call the sheriff's office at (941) 747-3011, ext. 1927, or Crime Stoppers at (866) 634-TIPS.
