A vote has been delayed on a bill that would allow the financing of certain types of green technology and adjust the boundaries of the 23,000-acre stewardship district at Lakewood Ranch.
Members of the Manatee County Legislative Delegation were scheduled to vote on the bill at 8 a.m. today, but were unable to muster a quorum.
Instead, the vote will be taken later in the day, said Cheryl Ennis, legislative aide.
The vote is necessary to introduce the bill during the legislative session.
Never miss a local story.
The stewardship district covers Schroeder-Manatee Ranch's last remaining undeveloped property at Lakewood Ranch, and straddles the Manatee-Sarasota county line.
