Music minister: The Rev. Jimmie Vann has been appointed music minister of Northwest Baptist Church, 7913 Ninth Ave. NW, Bradenton. He is an ordained minister in the Southern Baptist Convention. He was born and raised in Tampa, he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of South Florida. He came to Bradenton in 1978 and served as minister of music at First Baptist Church of Bradenton for 32 years. Vann also is the founder and member of the Wares Creek Boys.
