Youth talent: A.C.T. NOW of Palmetto will hold auditions for a youth talent show for ages 6-18 as part of the “Back to School Gospel/Jazz Fest” fundraiser set for August. Tikkun service: Temple Emanu-El, 151 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, announces the second Tikkun Leil Shavuot 7-9 p.m. June 7. A centuries-old innovation of Jewish mystics, the Tikkun is a special evening of sacred study undertaken during the holiday of Shavuot, or the Feast of Weeks.
