Tot Shabbat: Young Jewish and interfaith families are invited to attend the final Tot Shabbat of the school year 10:30 a.m. today at Temple Emanu-El, 151 McIntosh Road, Sarasota. Designed for children ages one through six and their parents or grandparents, Tot Shabbat is a relaxed and joyful celebration of Shabbat that includes playground time, a bagel breakfast, and age-appropriate Shabbat blessings, songs, movement, and stories. Longevity breakfast: Temple Emanu-El breakfast to focus on longevity and aging is set for 9:30 a.m. May 15 at 151 McIntosh Road, Sarasota. Veterans service: The Journey of Remembrance is an annual community service honoring United States military veterans and their families for their care and sacrifice. Fellowship week: Bishop Lawrence C. Livingston, pastor of Eternity Temple Church, 716 29th St. E., Palmetto, has been appointed presiding elder of the Greater District, First Born Churches. He will host and preside over the Greater Tampa District Fellowship Assembly Week at Eternity Temple Church. Bishop guests: The Right Rev. Dabney T. Smith, Episcopal Bishop of Southwest Florida, will be the guest preacher at the 7:30, 9 and 11 a.m. masses May 15 at the Church of the Redeemer, 222 S. Pastor installation: The Installation of Rev. Solemn Evensong: Soprano Adelaide Boedecker, a senior at the University of Florida and 2007 graduate of Pine View School, will perform at the Church of the Redeemer’s final Solemn Evensong of the season, as part of Redeemer’s “Great Music Series,” at 5:15 p.m. May 15.
