Bake sale: A multicultural Easter bake sale will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at St. Mark Orthodox Christian Church, 1517 57th St. E. (Morgan Johnson Road). Featured will be traditional baked goods from different cultures, including Greek baklava, Russian kulichs, poppy seed rolls, pies, Easter cookies, brownies and more. All goods are homemade by members of the church’s diverse community and represent various Easter baking traditions.
Family movie: Temple Emanu-El, 151 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, will host Family Movie Night at 6 p.m. today. Egg hunt: Bayside Community Church will host its annual 50,000-egg Eggolution Easter Egg Hunt at the Lakewood Ranch High School ball fields 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 16. The community is invited. Egg hunt fields will be provided for babies through eighth-graders and for special needs children. Free food, bottled water, inflatable games, bounce castles, rock climbing wall and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny to entertain the entire family are planned. AIDS ride: Register now for the annual AIDS Bike Ride in Sarasota/Manatee Counties to support the programs of Trinity Charities, Inc.
