The Al Katz Center, 5710 Cortez Road in Bradenton’s Cortez Commons shopping center, announces its annual commemoration of the infamous Wannsee Conference that produced the final “Final Solution,” which led to the deaths of 50 to 60 million people in World War II. Bible reading marathon

International Holocaust Remembrance Day film screening
As you may know, International Holocaust Remembrance Day is Jan. 27. In conjunction with this day, Temple Emanu-El, 151 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, will hold a screening of the acclaimed Holocaust film “Remember” and a discussion facilitated by recently-retired Holocaust archivist Joanne Weiner Rudof beginning at 2 p.m. Jan. 21. Weiner Rudof, who recently retired as the archivist at the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies at Yale University after thirty-three years, has coordinated over twenty Holocaust testimony projects in North and South America, Europe, and Israel, and advised others in initiating video testimony projects documenting genocide, oppression, and human rights violations.
