Operation Christmas Child Box
First Baptist Church, 1306 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, has opened its drop-off center for Operation Christmas Child Box. Hours are 1-5 p.m. Nov. 13-17, 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 18, 12:30-4:30 p.m. Nov. 19 and 9-11 a.m. Nov. 20 (back lot). The church is the central drop off location for four counties. Conversational Hebrew Classes
Temple Emanu-El, 151 McIntosh Road in Sarasota, announces two levels of Hebrew Conversation classes – one welcoming newcomers to the language, one designed for those with some background speaking Hebrew. “Hebrew Conversation for Beginners Level One,” continues from 10-11 a.m. on Sundays Nov. 12, 19 and Dec. 3. For those who have completed Level 1 – or who have some background in Hebrew – Temple Emanu-El also offers “Hebrew Conversation for Beginners Level Two.” This class will be held every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. through Dec. 5. Veteran’s Day celebration
Ticket are still available for the Veteran’s Day celebration and concert at the Family of God United Methodist Church, 5601 16th Ave. E., Palmetto, at 7 p.m. Nov. 11.
