Sept. 30: The Food Bank of Manatee will also be hosting Food Fight Eat out to Fight Hunger.
Diners can visit one of the two Bradenton locations for lunch or dinner on the designated dates and a percentage of your total ticket will be donated back at the end of the evening.

YachtSea Grille wine pairing dinner: YachtSea Grille, 101 Riverfront Drive, Suite 120, Bradenton, is hosting a series of wine tastings monthly. The next one begins at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 30. The six-course menu will include dishes such as fried green tomato topped with red onion confit and gorgonzala sauce, lemon Parmesan shrimp over Old Bay ditalini, chicken Oscar and beef cacciatore served over risi bisi. Cost: $45 for six wines and six courses. Reservations are required as the event is limited to 35 guests. Call 941-896-9660.
Pasture to Plate dinner series: Chef Paul Mattison, executive chef and proprietor of Mattison's in Sarasota, announces a new dinner series, "Pasture to Plate" beginning 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at Dakin Dairy Farm, 30711 Betts Road, Myakka City. This five-course dinner with wine is served at a long feasting table under the oak trees and features: Beer and cheese pairing, lead by "certified cheese professional" David Curran, followed by a tour of the Dakin Dairy Farm; beet and goat cheese salad; mangrove snapper; braised "Three Suns Ranch" bison tortellini; and tres leches dessert. Dinner is $125 per person and includes tax and gratuity. A portion of each ticket is donated to Harvest House. Brewers discussion: Motorworks Brewing, 1014 Ninth St. W., Bradenton, will hold a weekly brewers discussion at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays. One or more of our brewers will be give an hour-long discussion on beer styles and brewing. A different Motorworks Brewing beer will be on spotlight with the option to enjoy a snack paired perfectly for it. This educational discussion will include Q&A at the end. This is a free event, open to the public. Everyone from beginning craft beer drinkers to craft beer connoisseurs can learn. Information: 941-567-6218.
