Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies broke up a burglary in progress at 8:51 p.m. Thursday and made two arrests.
Upon arrival to a residence in the 4300 block of 18th Street West, a female and male were observed inside, according to the report.
After numerous commands, Mercedes Garman, 38, exited the residence without incident and was arrested.
Sean Callahan, 32, initially in the back bedroom, came out in the main living area. He was given numerous commands to exit the residence but refused.
With permission from the homeowner, a canine entered the home and apprehended the suspect. Callahan was arrested for burglary and resisting without violence. He had an outstanding warrant for burglary, according to the report.
Garman was arrested for burglary and had four warrants, according to the report.
No bail information was immediately available.
