Saturday marks Snooty's 64th Birthday Bash and Wildlife Awareness Festival.
For many locals, it's an event that spans generations.
The celebration for the world's oldest manatee on record is at the South Florida Museum-Parker Manatee Aquarium that houses the county's namesake sea cow.
The museum will offer children's games, art activities and free cookies and juice for children. Tickets for games will be available for purchase. Live animals and special presentations from local environmental and wildlife organizations will be featured at the celebration as well.
Admission to the outdoor birthday party in the Spanish Plaza is free to the public. Reduced general admission tickets to the museum galleries, inside aquarium exhibits and planetarium shows are available for $8 for adults, $7 for seniors (65 and older), $6 for children ages 4-12. Children ages 3 and younger are admitted for free with a paying adult. The reduced prices are valid 10 a.m.-5 p.m. July 21 only. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
