Be warned, Bradenton drivers: Downtown road work isn’t ending anytime soon.
Some new work, too, is about to get started.
The Florida Department of Transportation plans to begin resurfacing a portion of Sixth Avenue West later this month.
The work will be between 10th and 15th streets on the road, which carries eastbound State Road 64 traffic through downtown.
A public information meeting on the resurfacing project is set for 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Manatee County Government Administration Building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W.
Meanwhile, work to upgrade utilities and narrow Manatee Avenue West to two lanes through downtown is progressing and should be completed by September, officials said.
