n Bridge Street Jewelers, 129 Bridge St., Bradenton Beach, plans to aid the Haiti relief fund by donating 100 percent of all proceeds made from jewelry repair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Information: 896-7800.
n Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch is having a fundraiser, Helping Hands for Haiti, this week. The students have made friendship bracelets in the colors of red and blue in honor of the Haitian flag. Students will be selling the friendship bracelets for 25 cents in the school courtyard each morning before school. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund.
n Manatee Technical Institute has come up with a variety of ways to contribute to the Manatee District’s Hope for Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief Effort. MTI students and staff will be asked to contribute $1 each to go to the American Red Cross. Also, Haitian students who attend MTI will hold a car wash 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the main campus on the corner of 57th Avenue West and 34th Street West. Students and teachers in MTI’s Culinary Arts program will also hold a canned food drive.
