The Third Annual Bradenton Area River Regatta pretty much went off without a hitch, even after it was over and cleanup began, but there were some things that happened during the event that Director Mike Fetcho, shared the day after.
Organizers expect something like 100,000 spectators in Bradenton and Palmetto for Saturday’s third annual Bradenton Area River Regatta. Besides boat races, the event includes live music, family activities and a visit from the Budweiser Clydesdales.
Bradenton officials are expected to vote on the third annual Bradenton Area River Regatta on May 11. While full support of the event is evident, some are concerned at how much the city is investing into the event.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that players should stand during the national anthem, but also noted that the issue is more complicated and that the league is also open to dialogue. “We want to make sure that we’re understanding what the players are talking about, that’s complex,” he said.
