Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo’s “Sunset Celebration”
Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo will host its new summer event, “Sunset Celebration,” a first in a series of seasonal family festivals Friday and Saturdays, featuring dining, entertainment and animal encounters throughout the park. There will be atmospheric acrobats, magicians, stilt walkers, hula hoop artists, DJs, dancers and an end-of-night laser show finale. South Florida Museum “Noise!”
“Noise!” a special exhibit from the ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum includes plenty of activities for kids of all ages and will let visitors explore the physics of sound waves, how music and sound affect our moods, and see how screams measure up on a decibel meter. Visitors can play a pipe organ, watch sand dance and even try their hands at playing a theremin. Powel Crosley Exhibit and Movie
The Manatee County Agricultural Museum, 1015 Sixth St. W., Palmetto, will show the film “Powel Crosley, Jr. & the 20th Century,” 1 p.m. Wednesdays and the first and third Saturdays through Aug. 31, and the Palmetto Historical Park, 515 10th Ave. W., will host the exhibit “Powel Crosley, Jr. Community Exhibition: His Life.
