Village of the Arts monthly art walk
Stroll Bradenton’s acclaimed artist colony featuring 30 galleries, studios, bakeries, healing arts, specialty shops, all nestled in colorful 1920 cottages, and three five-star restaurants serving delectable foods 6-9:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 2. Music on Main
Main Street at Lakewood Ranch will host a Music on Main concert 6-9 p.m. Dec. 1 featuring music by Kettle of Fish. Wine and food sales will benefit the Tiny Hands Foundation. American Fine Craft Show
The American Fine Craft Show Sarasota is Dec. 1-3 at Robarts Arena, 3000 Ringling Blvd., in Sarasota. The event, now in its ninth year, features exceptional works in ceramics, decorative fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed-media, paper, wearable art, wood, painting, photography and sculpture by more than 100 of the nation’s top artists. Tickets are $11 per day; $10 for seniors; $6 for students; and $13 for a three-day pass. Children under 10 are admitted free. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m.Friday, Dec. 1-2 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 3. Siesta Key Seafood & Music Festival
The Siesta Key Seafood & Music Festival is 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 2-3 at Siesta Beach Pavilion, 948 Beach Road, Siesta Key. Enjoy an array of seafood ranging from Cajun-style crawfish to raw bars. The festival also will feature a beer garden and arts and crafts. Live music from Ari and the Alibis, Sarasota Steel Pan Band, Mac Arnold & Plate Full O' Blues, Twinkle and Rock Soul Radio, The Hard Luck Society, Kettle of Fish, Greg Billings Band, Reverend Barry & The Funk. Photography exhibition/book signing
Award-winning animal photographer, wildlife advocate, author and speaker Larry Allan will join Goodwill at its Manatee Avenue Art & Bookstore, 5512 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, for a special photography exhibition and book signing event 1-4 p.m. Dec. 2. The program will feature an exhibition of Allan’s wildlife photography. Copies of his book, “Florida Animals for Everyday Naturalists,” photographs, and children’s DVD, “Little Lost Mountain Lion,” will be available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of Allan’s work will go to Goodwill Manasota; he will sign his books and DVDs for cash donations that will directly benefit Goodwill. Safe kids fair
The fifth annual Safe Kids Fair is 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 2 at Westminster Presybterian Church, 3011 19th Ave. W., Bradenton, featuring free bike helmets (while supplies last) for kids age 5 through 12. There will be emergency vehicles, face painting, free kid IDs and more.
Duette Community Association Fall Festival
