The name makes it sound like a professional wrestling event, but it's really one of the biggest and most promising country music concerts of the year.
Throwdown by the Bay brings five of the hottest acts in country to the Amalie Arena in Tampa on Friday. There are so many great acts on the bill that the concert has to starts at 5:30 p.m. to fit them all in.
The headliner is Brantley Gilbert, who's winding up his "Let It Ride" tour. His third studio album, "Just as I Am," debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Country Albums Chart. His single "Bottoms Up" also topped the charts and went platinum.
Tyler Farr, who's been opening the second leg of the "Let It Ride" tour, is set to go on just before Gilbert at the Throwdown. The other acts are Colt Ford, Parmalee and Chase Bryant.
John King will be playing for free outside the arena in the area called Ford Thunder Alley before the doors open at 5 p.m..

John King: 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.
Chase Bryant: 5:30 p.m.
Parmalee: 6:20 p.m.
Colt Ford: 7:10 p.m.
Tyler Farr: 8:30 p.m.
