I want to share my experience when I went to the emergency room at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
I had symptoms of a stroke (which it turned out to be). The staff took quick action, they were all very efficient and explained everything to me. From there they send me to ICU, on the fifth floor, old section, and again I was treated wonderful by the nurses and doctors and staff.
After two days I was put on the second floor, old section, Heart and Stroke area. From the nurses and doctors to the people who delivered the food trays, and even the janitor, they all asked me if I needed anything.
I need to say a special thanks to everyone, for making my stay very comfortable. You are all very special people.

Thank you, Blake Hospital and the staff for the best care a mother could ask for her daughter. From admitting her on Oct. 19 and through two procedures. I always was greeted with a smile and an update before entering her room. Robyn had the best team working with her. There are too many names but you all know who you are and have made her stay a little less stressful for her and myself. We always hear the bad. Well, here is the good. Thank you all for taking care of a future nurse who, by the way, had me bring in her nursing books so she would not fall behind in her studies. Hugs to all of you.

Kudos to Manatee Memorial Hospital. My husband took me to the ER at 2:30 a.m. a couple of Mondays ago, thinking I was having a heart attack. Within a very short amount of time I was seen by a doctor and tests were started. The pain was like nothing I had ever experienced before and I was having trouble breathing. Fortunately, I did not have a heart attack but was admitted to the hospital to find out what was happening. I ended up having my gall bladder removed and was discharged later in the week.
My husband and I moved here from Chicago in 2009, knowing no one. I was a little leery of going to the county hospital but was completely blown away with the quality of care I received from the moment I stepped foot inside. Everyone, from the food service workers, to the transport staff, to the nursing staff (a special shout out to Mo), to the doctors, to the sanitary workers to, well, any and every person associated with MMH deserves a "thank you." The professionalism, consideration, politeness, caring and overwhelming concern I received were beyond comparison to anything I've ever seen before. It's clear that the leadership at MMH has instilled a pride of ownership in every person associated with the hospital and I, for one, am truly appreciative for a job well done.
