TAMPA -- There's good news today if you're a Parrothead:
Jimmy Buffett is coming back to Tampa.
The ageless beach and good times musician and his Coral Reefer Band will visit the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Saturday, April 18.
Buffett announced that date and two other Florida shows on Margaritaville.com Monday morning. Before coming to the Bay area, he'll play West Palm Beach's Cruzan Amphitheatre on April 9 and Orlando's Amyway Center on April 16.
This year's tour is called "This One's For You" and celebrates the 40th anniversary of Buffett's A1A album, which included the hit "A Pirate Looks at 40" and several other popular songs.
Buffett shows are as much as an event as a concert. They start hours early in the parking lots around the venue and attract legions of costumed Parrotheads, the name given for his fans.
Tickets for the Tampa show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at 800-745-3000. Click here for more information.
