BCS holding auction, fundraiser

BRADENTON — Bradenton Christian School is holding its annual auction and dinner fundraising event Saturday, Nov. 7, at 4:30 p.m.

This year’s theme is Bountiful Blessings, according to information from the school. The evening will open with a silent auction and dinner with a live auction showcasing items including trips or the opportunity to be the Bradenton police chief for a day.

The event will be at the campus, 3304 43rd St. W., and it will include free child care. Tickets are $6 in advance and $10 at the door. For sponsorship, donations or ticket information call (941) 792-5454, ext. 103, or e-mail hsik kema@bcspanthers.org.

Fall book sale set for First Bank Village Green

BRADENTON — The Literacy Council of Manatee County and First Bank have teamed up for a book sale and Financial Literacy Celebration, complete with games and prizes.

The sale is set for 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Nov. 14, at First Bank’s Village Green Branch, 7051 Manatee Ave. W.

The First Bank Race Car and Jr. Dragsters from Bill Lee’s Racing Team are also scheduled to attend.

Books will be available for $1 or less, and hot dogs, popcorn and beverages will be available for $1 each, First Bank experts will be on hand to open accounts and design individual financial plans.
