Retro Rosie's and Cobweb's Antiques & More found themselves in the national spotlight Friday when a film crew from MSNBC spent the day filming the Manatee Avenue East businesses, shown at right.

The two businesses, which recently combined forces in one location to save money, will be highlighted in an upcoming episode of how small companies across the country are taking innovative steps to survive a tough economy.

Above, videographer Wes Pratt and audio engineer Michal Maksymowicz of MSNBC were filming for the show expected to air in November as Nancy Cobb sorts small items and straightens them on shelves.

Nancy, of Cobweb's and fellow business owner Rosanne Dole of Retro Rosie's have a shop packed with china, vintage bridal gowns and hats.
