Alleyne Hughes x

Retired postal worker

My first car: A 1928 Model A Ford that I bought in 1949 for $100. It had no headlights, no tail lights and no speedometer, but it did have a nice rumble seat.

Reason I liked it: I just loved it because it was an old, old car.

The best memory I have about my car: I was driving to work in Encino, Calif. and got stopped by the police because of the car's condition and I was driving 35 mph in a 25 mph zone. I also had no driver's license. I didn't get a ticket but I did get a driver license the next day.

What I drive today: A 2004 Saturn.
