PARRISH - The shops at Allris Plaza are hosting an official grand opening and first annual Block Party celebration 11 a.m.-3 p.m. May 18.
Participating will be Panini Pizza Café, Leslie Wells Realty, Parsons Medical Center, Crepes and More, The Crazy Butcher and Sparkle Brite Pools.
The grand opening at the 8320 U.S. 301 N. plaza will feature free beach balls, free hickory-smoked pork sandwiches and lemonade, blood pressure and glucose checks, and buy-one, get-one-free menu items at Panini Pizza Café and Crepes and More.
Gift certificates valued up to $50 will be given away each hour and all plaza businesses will be giving away door prizes. Entry slips will be available at each business.

Networking event
SARASOTA - A Sarasota Prime Time exhibit and meet-and-greet networking event is slated for 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 21.
The quarterly event, presented by SRQ Media Group, will be at the Lido Beach Resort, 700 Ben Franklin Drive. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be provided.
The theme is "Island Getaway." Participants will be offered a complimentary welcome cocktail and handed a lei during the event.
An award will be presented to a special volunteer who goes above and beyond. Entertainment will be provided. A cash bar will be available. Admission is $5.
Free iced coffee
MANATEE - Dunkin' Donuts is hosting its second annual Free Iced Coffee Day on May 15.
All Dunkin' Donuts restaurants will treat customers to a free 16-ounce cup of iced coffee from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
