Carol Gooding has joined Lee Wetherington Co. as a sales associate. A 16-year veteran of the local real estate market, Gooding holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the Parsons School of Design and previously was sales and marketing vice-president at W.B. Wood in New York.

James Adkins of Wagner Realty recently served as committee member for the “Habitat Chic, The Design Challenge” fundraiser for Manatee County Habitat for Humanity. He shot and uploaded video to the event’s YouTube channel, assisted in marketing and was a bartender the night of the event.

Laurie Fox, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker, recently was awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation by the National Association of Realtors’ Seniors Real Estates Specialist Council. Those with the designation have knowledge and specialize in the needs of real-estate buyers and sellers 55 and older.

Ken Hargreaves has joined Moseley Investment Management as a wealth manager. He holds a finance degree from Florida State University, as well as series 7 and 66 registrations, a life and variable license and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation.

Tonna Gruber has joined Keller Williams on the Water as an associate. Gruber has been a Realtor in Florida since 2005 and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal’s Weekend Journal and in Barron’s Financial Weekly.

Doris Berkey has been named director of individual giving for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast. She will be responsible for the organization’s annual giving campaign, identification, cultivation, fundraising and stewardship of individual donors.

Yvette Little of Ellenton and Julie Childers Henry of Bradenton are two of 40 people nationwide selected as 2009 TogetherGreen Fellows. The TogetherGreen Fellowship offers specialized training in conservation planning and execution, the chance to work and share best practices with gifted conservation professionals, and assistance with project outreach and evaluation. Each fellow receives $10,000 toward a community-focused project to engage local residents in conserving land, water and energy, and contributing to greater environmental health.

Palmetto attorneys Scott Kallins and Melton Little of Kallins, Little and Delgado recently earned recertification through The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization & Education. Both lawyers are board certified in civil trial; Little also is board certified in marital and family law.

Gregory Pacitti of Raymond James Financial Services has been named to the firm’s 2010 Executive Council in recognition of outstanding client service and exemplary professional growth. Financial advisers who have demonstrated an extremely high level of commitment to clients through personal service and professional integrity are named to the council.

Pacitti, who joined Raymond James in 2001, has more than 11 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Sharone Martinelli has received the 2009 Protégé Award by the American Business Women’s Association 1st Class Chapter. The national award recognizes a first-year member for his or her contributions to the chapter and its activities.

Martinelli joined ABWA in April 2008, and is currently serving as chapter president. Sharone has been in the real estate business for many years, currently employed with Wagner Realty.
