BRADENTON — Intertape Polymer Group Inc., a Canadian company that makes plastic and paper packaging products, has named Bernard J. Pitz as its new chief financial officer.
Pitz, 49, a financial manager who begins his new duties immediately, is preceded by Vic DiTommaso. A certified public accountant, DiTommaso became Intertape Polymer’s CFO two years ago.
The company, whose administrative headquarters is in Bradenton, employs about 2,100 with operations in 17 locations, including 13 manufacturing facilities in North America and one in Europe.
Nail salon under new management
MANATEE — The New L.A. Nail Salon, 4452 Cortez Road, is under new management.
Hung V. Tran and Huong T. Vu recently purchased the salon and have renovated the store with new equipment, tables and chairs.
Hours of business are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Teltronics inks deal
PALMETTO — Teltronics Inc., a provider of communications products and services, announces a signed contract with REACT Systems Inc., an innovator and leader in high performance Critical Response Notification Systems (CRNS) that unifies emergency and time-sensitive situations. Together, Teltronics and REACT Systems will work with Teltronics Strategic Partners to sell the REACT product to end-users.
The REACT computer desktop pop-up and dedicated display audio/visual notification can be launched from desktops, telephones, wireless devices and/or automatically triggered through integration with leading security systems.
