HR company gets renewal of credit line

SARASOTA — PES, a full-service professional employer organization offering comprehensive payroll administration, workers’ compensation management, employee benefits and human resources solutions to employers, announced the renewal of its credit line through early 2011.

“We are very pleased with the ability to renew our credit line,” said Steve Herrig, PES president and chief executive officer. “We view this as a validation of our financial strength and the proactive strategy we have employed over the past year. We will continue to use the line for continued growth and strategic partnerships.”

Builder invited to submit project to conference/expo

SARASOTA — Willis A. Smith Construction Inc. was asked by the U. S. Green Building Council to submit their project, the Willis A. Smith Construction Inc. LEED Gold Certified Sustainable Headquarters Building, for inclusion in the 2009 LEED Project Gallery that will be displayed at this year’s Greenbuild International Conference and Expo.

The outstanding construction selections chosen by the USGBC will be showcased in the LEED Project Gallery, which is shown during the entirety of the conference in the main concourse of the convention center.

Local companies awarded community center contract

SARASOTA — SchenkelShultz Architecture and the Design-Build Team of Turner Construction Co. was awarded a contract to design and construct the city of Winter Park’s new 35,000-square-foot community center.

To be designed to LEED Silver Certification standards, the replacement project includes a multi-purpose pool with ancillary building, additional parking, a playground and exterior stage, as well as demolition of the existing community center on the three-acre site.
