Coastal Behavioral Healthcare receives seal of approval
SARASOTA — Coastal Behavioral Healthcare recently earned the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest healthcare industry standards-setting and accrediting body.
Coastal has been accredited since 1994 with accreditation reviews every three years. The Joint Commission accredits more than 16,000 organizations in the United States including hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers. The evaluation is a review focusing on the quality and safety of client care.
Manatee Memorial surgeon teaches procedure
BRADENTON — Physicians gathered at Manatee Memorial Hospital to observe General Surgeon Dr. Jose Erbella’s demonstrate the latest procedures for gallbladder removal and colon surgery using the SILS procedure.
The procedure utilizes only one access point through the patient’s belly button, leaving no visible scar.
