Laura Dorsey has joined Insignia Bank as residential lending executive. Dorsey has 25 years of mortgage-industry experience and serves on the boards of the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce and The American Cancer Society Sarasota/Desoto Unit. She will be based at the bank’s office at 5850 Fruitville Road.

Mary Ashley and Teresa Starr have joined Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’s St. Armands office. Ashley previously worked in Coldwell’s Cambridge and Martha’s Vineyard offices in Massachusetts and is a 10-year real-estate veteran. Starr was a real-estate professional in Maryland before moving to Sarasota in 2007.

Liz Andricks, of A Paradise Vacation Rentals, has become a community association manager. She will oversee daily community association management operations for the company, which she joined in 1983 and now serves as property manager and vice president of vacation rentals.

Jeff Hokamp and Katy Yoder have joined Brooke Chase Associates Inc., an executive search firm in Sarasota. Hokamp has been in the recruiting industry for six years after a 24-year career in the petroleum industry. Yoder previously was a technical recruiter for Smith Hanley Associates in Chicago.

Phil Chmieleski has joined Anexio Inc. as its vice president of business development. Chmieleski will oversee expansion and clients of the business information technology company, based in Sarasota.

A Paradise Realty has named its top agents for September. Paul Lambert was top listing agent and Bill Kipp was top sales agent in the Ellenton office. Quentin Talbert was top sales agent and Reg Burke was top listing agent in the Holmes Beach office.

Jerry Piotrowicz, a sales associate at RE/Max Alliance Group in Bradenton, recently earned the Graduate Realtor Institute designation.

Diane Lee and Cyndi Myers have joined Wagner Realty. Lee previously was vice president of leasing for Lakewood Ranch Commercial Realty, a subsidiary of Lakewood Ranch developer Schroeder Manatee Ranch, and has 20 years real-estate experience. Myers has been a Realtor for 17 years, including the last seven at Lakewood Ranch Commercial Realty.

Heather Ripley has joined CAP Brand Marketing, a Sarasota-based marketing and public relations firm, as public relations account manager. In her new role, she will work with clients to integrate public relations and social media strategies into their overall branding and marketing initiatives.

Jason Wyatt has joined Scott’s Auto Repair as an ASE certified technician. He previously was with Lee’s Auto Repair in Bradenton for almost 15 years.

Ben and Karen Cooper have begun Personal Consulting Services, LLC. With 40 years of experience, they will offer personal and corporate tax preparation and all kinds of accounting services including payrolls, quarterly and annual reports and financial statements.

Biological Tree Services, owned by Tammy Kovar, was awarded the 2009 Hall of Fame Entrepreneurship Award by the Sarasota County Economic Development Corp. The Entrepreneurship Award recognizes a business in its first five years of operation. Award criteria include corporate citizenship and community involvement, corporate responsibility through employee programs, company growth, innovative achievements, and market expansion.
