The appeal's board hearing for a former Manatee County Sheriff's Office detective seeking her job back will continues today.

Tiffany Graves was fired from her job on March 10 for conduct unbecoming a deputy and improper display of a firearm.

The charges stemmed from an encounter Sept. 11 with Deputy Brandon Gard in a church parking lot and in the Village of Cortez.

Gard, who admitted he had a relationship with Graves, testified Monday at the first day of the hearing that he saw her load her gun.

Graves denied loading the gun in front of Gard. She is hoping to be reinstated in her job.
