BRADENTON — Braden River senior guard Heather Mirabella is a pure long-range bomber. The pint-sized sharpshooter led Manatee County in three-point field goals and will take her penchant for draining the 3 to the college level.
Mirabella has signed a scholarship to play basketball at Webber International University in Babson Park next season.
Mirabella paced the Pirates with 15 points, six assists and three steals a game. She nailed 74 three-pointers to lead the county, and Mirabella became the first Braden River basketball player to sign a basketball scholarship.
The Warriors are a Division II program.
