The Braden River High baseball team advanced to today’s Class 4A-District 10 championship game final with a 9-1 win over Arcadia DeSoto in Sebring.
Winning pitcher Marc Monroe fanned seven batters in six innings, and William Patterson was 3-for-4 with a double and five RBIs for the Pirates.
Stephen Fischer was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Nathan Pittman scored three runs and stole two bases.
Braden River will meet the Sebring-Avon Park winner at 7 p.m. today in Sebring.
