Market position: Cadillac’s re-born SRX is aimed at a younger and active market with sleeker styling and a more car-like look and demeanor than its predecessor. Designed to address the perceived shortcomings of the current model, the goal is to steal customers from Lexus (RX350).

Points: Based on a new front-drive platform, the 2010 Cadillac SRX is shorter, lower and decidedly more focused than its predecessor; Front- and rear-seat passengers benefit from the decision not to attempt a third row; The interior is arguably the highlight of the new vehicle; Two engines offered but the best choice is the more powerful one.
