Unlike any camp in the area, we are excited to show you our wonderful animal world through demonstrations, games, crafts, and other hands on activities.
The fun lasts from June through July, with three differently themed zoo camps: 101, 102, and 103. Zoo Camp 101 teaches campers what it takes to be a zookeeper. At the end of camp, kids will perform a “Meet the Keeper” show for parents. In Zoo Camp 102, campers will create their very own passport. They will “travel” to different continents in order to learn all about the animals that are native to them. Finally, in Zoo Camp 103, campers will learn how humans and animals use their senses in different ways. They will see that some animals have adapted senses to survive. There are no pre-requisites for any of the camps.
We invite kids from Kindergarten to 6th grade to explore the jungle Monday though Friday from 9am-3pm. Each day holds something new for our campers. Therefore, camp weeks cannot be broken down into day visits.
Exploration is split into two different age groups (5-8 year olds and 9-12 year olds). Whether you have been here before or are taking a look for the first time, Zoo Camp at Sarasota Jungle Gardens will be a memorable experience for all.
